Teach India is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by the Times of India that aims at imparting Spoken English skills to the underserved section of the society to improve their employability. So far Teach India has successfully completed 9 cycles in Delhi/ NCR. The 10th cycle started in June 2014. The last year saw the learners performing with excellence in job fairs - with more than 70% candidates getting job offers through the fairs. The success in Delhi was replicated in Mumbai, which is now entering its 9th cycle. The initiative is about to cross a mark of 30,000 learners through its 2000+ volunteers. Know More...
In its endeavour to reach out and impart Spoken English skills to a larger population belonging to the underserved section of the society and realizing the potential of the student community belonging to the privileged section to be the agents of change in the society, the Times Group, in May 2013, initiated the Teach India – School Chapter.
The School Chapter till now has been implemented in over 40 schools across Delhi/NCR. The Programme has seen a tremendous response from more than 500 student volunteers. Read more.
The overwhelming response received from the schools thus far, has motivated the Times Group to scale-up the School Chapter and involve more schools and students in the upcoming cycle. The registrations for schools will start in July and the Programme for the students will begin in October.
